Freezing nerves before knee surgery could end chronic pain
NCT ID NCT07425457
Summary
This study tests whether freezing specific nerves around the knee at least 24 hours before total knee replacement surgery can reduce long-term pain and improve recovery. About 100 adults with knee osteoarthritis will be randomly assigned to receive either the nerve-freezing procedure plus surgery or surgery alone. Researchers will track participants' pain levels, knee function, and quality of life for six months after surgery to see if the nerve treatment helps.
