New study aims to find best pain relief for knee replacement patients

NCT ID NCT07267650

Summary

This study compares two different pain control methods for patients having knee replacement surgery. Researchers want to see if a specific combination of nerve blocks performed by an anesthesiologist provides better pain relief than a combination of a nerve block and a local injection performed by the surgeon. The study will involve 100 patients having knee replacement for arthritis, and will measure their pain levels, medication needs, and recovery progress.
