Doctors test which nerve block works best for knee surgery pain

NCT ID NCT07231692

Summary

This study observed 60 patients after knee replacement surgery to compare two different nerve block combinations used for pain relief. Doctors watched which method—one targeting the back of the knee versus one targeting the side—provided better pain control and reduced opioid use in the first 24 hours after surgery. The research team only collected data on pain scores, medication use, and recovery; they did not assign or perform any treatments.
