Knee implant Check-Up: will new plastic parts last longer?

NCT ID NCT07544264

First seen Apr 23, 2026 · Last updated May 24, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study follows 78 people who get a total knee replacement with a special all-plastic (polyethylene) part to see how well the implant holds up over 5 years. Researchers want to know if this newer plastic design works as well as or better than older metal-backed versions. The goal is to gather information on implant survival, pain, and function to guide future choices.
