New nerve block technique aims to ease knee replacement pain without opioids
NCT ID NCT07360392
First seen Jan 24, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests a newer nerve block method (BiFeS) against a standard one (iPACK) for pain control after total knee replacement. About 88 adults having knee surgery will be randomly assigned to one of the two blocks, both combined with a common nerve block (adductor canal block). Researchers will measure pain scores, opioid use, and how quickly patients can move after surgery to see which approach works better.
