First seen Apr 13, 2026 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 7 times
Summary
This study tested whether adding a nerve block (adductor canal block) to a standard pain injection (local infiltration analgesia) reduces pain after knee replacement surgery better than the injection alone. Sixty-one adults having knee replacement took part. Researchers measured pain scores, opioid use, and knee movement in the first 48 hours after surgery.
