Summary

This study tested whether treating nerves around the kneecap during knee replacement surgery helps reduce pain and improve function after the operation. It involved 64 adults with severe knee arthritis who were getting their first knee replacement. Patients were randomly assigned to receive either the nerve treatment or standard surgery, and researchers compared their pain levels and recovery.
