Targeted shot tested for stubborn knee pain
NCT ID NCT04943341
Summary
This small pilot study tested whether a precise, ultrasound-guided injection of a steroid (Triamcinolone) and numbing medicine (Lidocaine) could help people with persistent knee pain from medial plica syndrome. The treatment was given to 30 patients whose pain had not improved with standard rest, medication, or physical therapy. Researchers tracked participants' pain levels, knee function, and satisfaction for up to a year to see if the injection was safe and effective.
