Can a needle trick your brain? study probes knee pain mystery
NCT ID NCT05976269
Summary
This study aims to understand how chronic pain in both knees affects the brain's ability to tell left from right and how a treatment called dry needling might influence muscle function and movement. Researchers will compare 60 adults, including people with knee pain (with high or low fear of movement) and healthy people without pain. Each participant will attend one 2-hour session for tests and the dry needling procedure, with no follow-up visits planned.
