First seen May 10, 2026 · Last updated May 23, 2026 · Updated 6 times
Summary
This study looked at whether taking an oral supplement containing hyaluronic acid along with getting a hyaluronic acid injection in the knee provides more relief for knee osteoarthritis than the injection alone. 44 people aged 60-75 with knee arthritis took the supplement or a placebo for three months. Researchers measured pain, stiffness, and function using a standard knee score.
