New injection combo aims to ease arthritic knee pain
NCT ID NCT05727371
Summary
This study is testing whether a single injection combining a patient's own platelet-rich plasma (PRP) with a gel-like substance (hyaluronic acid) can safely reduce pain and improve movement in people with moderate to severe knee osteoarthritis. It will compare this combination injection against a standard gel injection and a placebo (inactive) injection. About 280 participants will be followed for 6 months to see which treatment works best for easing symptoms.
