Doctors track best fix for damaged knee cartilage

Summary
This study is observing which standard treatments work best for a specific knee cartilage problem called osteochondritis dissecans (OCD). Doctors are following 254 patients in China for up to two years after they receive either non-surgical care or one of several surgical procedures. The goal is to see which approach leads to better long-term knee repair, function, and less pain.
