Scientists test which exercise angle best fights knee arthritis pain

NCT ID NCT07456254

Summary

This study tested which angle on a special exercise machine works best to strengthen thigh muscles in women with knee osteoarthritis. Researchers compared a flat (0°) angle to a tilted (50°) angle during leg extension exercises in 43 women aged 50-65. They measured muscle activation to determine which position might help patients build strength more effectively to reduce pain and improve mobility.
