Knee surgery showdown: allograft vs autograft – which is better?
NCT ID NCT03932838
First seen Mar 17, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at how well the knee works and how stable it is after surgery to repair multiple torn ligaments. Researchers are comparing two types of tissue grafts: one from a donor (allograft) and one from the patient's own body (autograft). The goal is to see if one leads to better knee function and less looseness. About 80 adults who had this surgery will be followed.
