NCT ID NCT06865170

First seen Feb 01, 2026 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study looks at ways to make knee steroid injections less painful for people with knee osteoarthritis. Researchers will test if using a smaller needle or a cooling spray (ethyl chloride) before the shot reduces pain. About 88 adults will rate their pain right after the injection, a day later, and six weeks later. The goal is to find simple ways to improve the injection experience and see if less pain during the shot leads to better long-term results.
