One-Surgery knee infection fix: does patient choice matter?

NCT ID NCT02405702

Summary

This study looked at whether carefully selecting patients helps heal infections after knee replacement surgery when using a single-surgery approach instead of the standard two-surgeries. Researchers examined 60 adults who had their infected knee implants replaced in one surgery between 2000 and 2010. The goal was to see if using specific patient criteria leads to better infection recovery compared to not using selection criteria.
