Scientists test which knee implant holds tightest
NCT ID NCT04358601
Summary
This study aims to see if a newer, all-plastic part for knee replacements stays in place as well as the older style that has a metal backing. Researchers will track 60 patients with severe knee arthritis for two years using special X-rays to measure tiny movements of the implant. The goal is to predict which design will last longer and work better for patients.
