Scientists track new knee Implant's movement to predict Long-Term success

NCT ID NCT02861794

Summary

This study aimed to see how well a new design of knee replacement implant stays in place and wears down over five years. Researchers used a special, high-precision X-ray method to track tiny movements of the implant in 44 patients with knee osteoarthritis. The goal was to gather data to help make future knee implants more stable and satisfying for patients.
