New approach aims to stop ACL tears from leading to arthritis
NCT ID NCT07142369
Summary
This study is testing if two simple procedures done soon after an ACL knee tear can reduce harmful inflammation. Researchers will compare draining excess knee fluid to injecting a patient's own concentrated healing blood factors (PRP). The goal is to see if either method lowers substances linked to cartilage damage, potentially helping to prevent future arthritis.
