First seen Jan 28, 2026 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study tests a procedure called genicular embolization for people with long-term knee pain from advanced osteoarthritis or after a knee replacement. Doctors guide a thin tube to small arteries near the knee and inject a temporary substance to reduce blood flow to inflamed tissue. The goal is to see if this can safely lower pain and improve knee function over two years.
