Dissolving screws aim to save young knees from early arthritis
NCT ID NCT06462040
Summary
This study is looking at a surgical technique to repair loose pieces of bone and cartilage in the knee using special screws that dissolve over time. It aims to see how well this method works for young patients (ages 12-35) to relieve pain, restore function, and most importantly, prevent the knee joint from wearing out and developing early arthritis. Researchers will track 100 patients' recovery, pain levels, and knee health for several years after surgery.
