Knee brace after revision surgery: could resting improve motion?

NCT ID NCT07552415

First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study looks at whether wearing a knee brace for 10 days after revision knee replacement surgery helps improve knee movement 3 months later. About 170 adults having revision knee replacement for reasons like loosening or instability will be assigned to either wear a brace and avoid exercises, or follow standard physical therapy. The goal is to see if a short period of rest leads to better range of motion.
