Knee pain relief showdown: blood injections vs. pain gel vs. exercise

NCT ID NCT05877027

Summary

This study compared three common treatments for knee osteoarthritis (wear-and-tear arthritis) to see which works best for pain and mobility. Researchers tested platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections, a topical diclofenac gel, and a guided exercise program in 82 adults. The goal was to measure improvements in pain, knee function, and quality of life to help patients and doctors choose the most effective option.
