New artery procedure tested against standard steroid shots for aching knees

Summary
This study is testing whether a minimally invasive procedure called genicular artery embolization (GAE) works better than standard steroid injections for reducing pain from knee osteoarthritis. About 264 adults with ongoing knee pain who haven't gotten relief from basic treatments will be randomly assigned to receive one of these two treatments. Researchers will track their pain levels and need for additional treatments over two years to see which option provides longer-lasting relief.
