Your own body fat vs. fat plus gel: the battle for better knees

NCT ID NCT07121556

Summary

This study is testing if adding a lubricating gel (hyaluronic acid) to an injection of a person's own processed fat tissue works better for knee arthritis pain than the fat tissue injection alone. Each of the 100 participants will have one knee treated with the fat+gel combo and the other knee treated with just fat, so they act as their own comparison. Researchers will track pain, stiffness, and daily function over two years to see which treatment provides more relief.
