Less steroid, same relief? study tests lower doses for arthritic knees

NCT ID NCT06782529

Summary

This study is testing whether a lower dose of steroid injection works as well as the standard dose for relieving knee arthritis pain and improving function. The research focuses on obese patients with knee osteoarthritis who are already planning to get a steroid injection. Doctors want to see if using less medication can provide the same benefits while potentially reducing side effects.
