Could a single shot from donated placenta ease arthritic knees?

NCT ID NCT07219771

Summary

This study is testing whether a single injection of processed human placental tissue into the knee joint can safely reduce pain and improve function for people with mild-to-moderate knee osteoarthritis. About 260 participants will be randomly assigned to receive either the experimental injection or a placebo shot, and their pain and mobility will be tracked for a full year. The goal is to see if this one-time treatment offers lasting relief for people who haven't gotten enough help from standard pain medications.
