Nerve block vs. physical therapy: new study seeks best way to ease arthritic knee pain

NCT ID NCT06903936

Summary

This study aims to find out which treatment works better for people with knee osteoarthritis: a targeted injection that blocks pain signals (genicular nerve block) or a standard course of physical therapy. Researchers will measure changes in pain, knee function, walking ability, and balance in 66 participants. The goal is to provide clearer guidance for managing this common, painful condition.
