Hands-On therapy tested to ease arthritic knee pain
NCT ID NCT05577403
Summary
This study tested whether a specific hands-on physical therapy technique, when added to standard strengthening exercises, could better reduce pain and improve movement in people with knee osteoarthritis. It involved 50 adults aged 40-65 with moderate knee arthritis. Participants were randomly assigned to receive either the real hands-on therapy plus exercises or a sham (pretend) therapy plus exercises over four weeks to compare results.
