New injection shows promise for aching knees
NCT ID NCT04636229
Summary
This study tested whether a single injection made from donated amniotic fluid could reduce pain and improve function in people with knee osteoarthritis. Over 500 adults who hadn't gotten enough relief from standard treatments received either the real injection or a placebo saline shot. Researchers tracked their knee pain, stiffness, and ability to do daily activities for a full year to see if the treatment was safe and effective.
