Gum cells injected into knees in First-of-its-Kind arthritis trial

NCT ID NCT06690710

Summary

This is the first study in people to test the safety of a single injection of specially engineered cells, made from human gum tissue, directly into the knee joint of patients with osteoarthritis. The goal is to see if this cell therapy is safe and well-tolerated, while also checking for early signs that it might reduce pain, improve function, or help repair damaged knee cartilage. The study will follow 15 participants for up to two years after their injection.
