Scientists test 'Longevity Gene' shot in healthy people

Summary
This is a first-step safety study testing a new gene therapy injection designed to increase levels of a protein called Klotho in healthy adults. Researchers will give 24 volunteers a single injection and then closely monitor them for any side effects. They will also run many blood tests and thinking skill assessments to see if the therapy has any effects on health, cognition, or markers of aging.
