New lupus treatment begins human testing

Summary

This is the first human study of an experimental drug called KK4277 for lupus. Researchers are testing the safety and side effects of single and multiple doses in healthy volunteers and people with different types of lupus. The study will also measure how much of the drug gets into the bloodstream and how long it stays there.
