Scientists test re-engineered immune cells to fight multiple cancers

NCT ID NCT05035407

Summary

This early-stage study tested a new type of personalized cancer treatment. Researchers collected a patient's own immune cells (T cells), modified them in a lab to better recognize and attack cancer cells, and then infused them back into the patient. The goal was to see if this approach was safe and could help control advanced cancers in the stomach, breast, cervix, lung, and other organs that have a specific protein marker called KK-LC-1.
