Experimental eye injections aim to restore vision in blinding genetic disease

NCT ID NCT06628947

Summary

This study is testing whether repeated injections of an experimental drug called KIO-301 into the eye is safe and can help improve vision in people with late-stage retinitis pigmentosa, a genetic disease that causes severe vision loss. It will involve about 36 adults who have very little to no light perception. Participants will receive injections in both eyes every 6 weeks and be closely monitored for about 30 weeks to see if their vision improves.
