Summary
This study tested whether trained peer navigators (women with similar experiences) could help women involved in the criminal justice system access HIV prevention medication called PrEP. The goal was to reduce stigma and improve health. Thirty women aged 18-49 in San Francisco probation participated. The study measured how many women attended a PrEP appointment and started taking PrEP.
