Tape trick boosts balance in kids with CP?

NCT ID NCT07188961

First seen Oct 31, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 25 times

Summary

This study tested whether kinesiology taping (a special elastic tape placed on the skin) could improve trunk control, balance, and muscle stiffness in 30 children with cerebral palsy. The children received taping on their trunk and limbs over four weeks. Results showed some short-term improvements in sitting balance and independence, but the study was small and had no comparison group, so more research is needed.
