Sticky tape therapy tested to help kids with CP stand stronger

NCT ID NCT07188961

Summary

This study tested whether applying special elastic tape (kinesiology taping) to the trunk and limbs could improve balance, muscle control, and independence in children with cerebral palsy. Thirty children with hemiplegic or diplegic CP received the taping treatment for four weeks while continuing their regular therapy. Researchers measured changes in sitting balance, walking ability, and muscle stiffness before and after the taping period.
