Tape trick boosts stroke recovery?
NCT ID NCT07300605
First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study tested whether kinesio taping (a special elastic tape placed on the skin) can improve arm and hand movement, reduce pain, and boost mood in people who recently had a stroke. 26 adults with arm weakness were randomly assigned to receive either real kinesio taping or a fake version, along with their usual rehab. The results were measured after 3 weeks of taping and again at 6 weeks to see if the tape provided extra benefits.
