Sticky tape for stroke? study tests recovery aid

NCT ID NCT07300605

Summary

This study tested whether applying a special elastic tape (kinesio taping) helps people recover arm and hand movement after a recent stroke. 26 adults who had a stroke within the last 6 months were randomly assigned to get either the real therapeutic tape or a fake tape that didn't provide support, on top of their standard rehabilitation exercises. Researchers measured their movement, pain, general health, and mood over 6 weeks to see if the tape offered any extra benefit.
