Tape your way to better PMS days? new study tests kinesio taping for mood and pain

NCT ID NCT07155720

First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 26, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tests whether kinesio taping, a stretchy tape applied to the skin, can reduce premenstrual syndrome (PMS) symptoms and boost happiness and quality of life. Researchers will compare real taping to a sham (fake) taping in 42 women over 18 who have regular cycles and score high on a PMS scale. It is a small, early-stage trial, so results are uncertain.
