First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study tested whether applying kinesio tape after laparoscopic gynecologic surgery can reduce pain. Fifty-four women participated, with some receiving the tape plus standard pain care and others receiving only standard care. Pain levels were measured using a visual scale. The goal is to see if this easy-to-use tape offers extra pain relief.

What this could lead to

If it works, this could offer a simple, drug-free way to ease pain after laparoscopic gynecologic surgery.
