Summary

This study aimed to understand how many children in Sweden experience pain after surgery and whether hospitals follow recommended pain management guidelines. Researchers followed 2000 children aged 1-17 who had common surgeries like hernia repair or tonsil removal. The goal was to identify factors linked to both short-term and long-term pain to help improve recovery for kids.
