First seen Apr 21, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 5 times

Summary

This study tested whether giving children a connected toothbrush, special toothpaste, and a behavioral app after they had cavity surgery could improve brushing habits and lower future dental costs. 93 kids aged 4-7 who were Blue Cross Blue Shield members took part. The goal was to see if this approach helps prevent new cavities and saves money for families and insurers.
