First seen Sep 30, 2025 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 30 times

Summary

This study looks at how families decide on antibiotic use for common childhood infections like urinary tract infections, strep throat, and ear infections. Researchers will ask 300 children (ages 4-17) and their parents about their experiences with antibiotics. Some children will also wear a Garmin smartwatch to track symptoms like fever and sleep. The goal is to see if using a smartwatch and a phone app is practical and helpful for future research.
