NCT ID NCT03707262

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated May 03, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tests a new approach to help kidney transplant recipients accept their new organ without needing lifelong anti-rejection medication. Participants receive a special combination of radiation and a drug, followed by a stem cell infusion from the same sibling who donated the kidney. The goal is to see if this can create a state where the body tolerates the kidney naturally, allowing patients to safely stop immunosuppressive drugs.
