New drug duo aims to save transplanted kidneys from rejection

NCT ID NCT06918990

Summary

This study is testing whether adding two new drugs, carfilzomib and belatacept, to the standard anti-rejection medications can better control a specific type of kidney transplant rejection. It will involve about 25 kidney transplant patients whose bodies are making harmful antibodies against their new kidney. The main goal is to see if this combination safely lowers these antibodies and improves kidney function.
