Scientists probe why new kidneys leak protein

NCT ID NCT01094327

Summary

This study aims to understand why some patients develop protein in their urine immediately after receiving a kidney transplant, especially those with a specific kidney disease called FSGS. Researchers will review medical records and analyze blood and kidney tissue samples from up to 100 young transplant recipients, aged 25 and under. The goal is to identify the biological reasons behind this complication to improve future transplant outcomes.
