Warm machine perfusion could boost older donor kidneys
NCT ID NCT05782543
Summary
This study is testing whether a new 'warm' machine perfusion method can improve the function of transplanted kidneys, especially those from donors aged 50 and older. It will compare the new method against the standard 'cold' machine perfusion in 240 transplant patients. The main goal is to see if kidneys treated with the warm method work better one year after the transplant.
