New hope to stop transplanted kidneys from scarring and failing

Summary

This study is testing if a drug called belumosudil can prevent harmful scarring inside newly transplanted kidneys. The trial will involve 40 people who recently received a kidney transplant. Participants will receive either the study drug or a placebo, in addition to their standard anti-rejection medications, for one year to see if it helps preserve the health of the transplanted organ.
