New algorithm could let kidney patients take less Anti-Rejection meds
NCT ID NCT06235892
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether a new tool called AGORA can safely identify kidney transplant patients who can take a lower dose of the anti-rejection drug tacrolimus. About 300 adults who are one year post-transplant and at low risk for rejection will be randomly assigned to either standard care or a reduced tacrolimus plan. The goal is to see if lowering the drug improves kidney function without causing rejection.
